How
is a company credit rating calculated?
Our corporate credit score and credit rating is produced using mathematical models based
on an analysis of the information available. All business failures are carefully analysed
and assessed, and any identifying features of the failed companies are recorded. This
helps to build a profile of characteristics which are common to failing companies. We then
compare these traits with normal actively trading companies, to identify those elements
which appear to be the most consistently indicative - and therefore potentially predictive
- of corporate collapse. This allows us to develop highly reliable credit rating models
and every day financial and public information about all UK companies is being loaded onto
the database and credit ratings are being updated. |
